After struggling to finish three books in a row, I was glad to pick this one up as it was a really enjoyable read。 Initially I thought it could have finished 100 pages earlier but Jane really used the last third of the book well to tie up all the loose ends。

Really enjoyed this, haven't read any of Jane's books before, took me a week to read (that's bloody good for me, I'm a slow reader usually)Her writing style is smooth, I found it easy to imagine the characters and visualise the settings she described, I felt like I could walk into Georgia's house and have a brew myself!!I felt sorry for Lydia a bit, but she did deserve it 😂Definitely be reading more of her books ✅ Really enjoyed this, haven't read any of Jane's books before, took me a week to read (that's bloody good for me, I'm a slow reader usually)Her writing style is smooth, I found it easy to imagine the characters and visualise the settings she described, I felt like I could walk into Georgia's house and have a brew myself!!I felt sorry for Lydia a bit, but she did deserve it 😂Definitely be reading more of her books ✅ 。。。more

I really enjoyed the book however it's another one of those plots that annoys me a bit where everything would be absolutely fine if people just had a conversation。。。 I really enjoyed the book however it's another one of those plots that annoys me a bit where everything would be absolutely fine if people just had a conversation。。。 。。。more

Loved it! Easy read lots of giggles。

I enjoyed the storyline。 Although the main characters annoyed me a little it was still an enjoyable read

A well intended deed turns out horribly wrong The main character is a wet drip and needed some backbone , it was predicted and I could have been so much better

This is the first of Jane Fallon's books I've read。 I was intrigued by the social media thread, knowing how it all can go wrong。 I mostly enjoyed the book。 However, I find it hard to imagine that two people who've been painted as best friends through thick and thin can have a friendship unravel so dramatically and completely。 One ill-considered but good intention sets everything in motion。 And instead of dealing with the issue face-on like well-adjusted adults and best friends, the plot unravels This is the first of Jane Fallon's books I've read。 I was intrigued by the social media thread, knowing how it all can go wrong。 I mostly enjoyed the book。 However, I find it hard to imagine that two people who've been painted as best friends through thick and thin can have a friendship unravel so dramatically and completely。 One ill-considered but good intention sets everything in motion。 And instead of dealing with the issue face-on like well-adjusted adults and best friends, the plot unravels with each person trying to be more spiteful than the other and everything becomes a mess with collateral damage。 My biggest complaint is that I don't think solid friendships will end up like this。 Maybe the author is writing from experience。 From my perspective, it doesn't seem credible。 Regardless, it was a good way to spend some idle time。 。。。more

This one was a bit slow going, I actually ended up skipping around 3 chapters in the middle and it didn't make any difference。 Once I got through that, it was good。 This one was a bit slow going, I actually ended up skipping around 3 chapters in the middle and it didn't make any difference。 Once I got through that, it was good。 。。。more

This was everything I hoped it would be。 Such a great premise for a book!

This felt like an OMG book where as I read through that’s all I could think about what was coming & what came next。

Middle-aged women behaving like immature teenagers。 Repetitive and dull, and I couldn't care less about either of the whiny, narcissistic characters。 Abandoned at 11%。 Middle-aged women behaving like immature teenagers。 Repetitive and dull, and I couldn't care less about either of the whiny, narcissistic characters。 Abandoned at 11%。 。。。more

This would have been a 4 star but the last 100 pages were a little duller。

I really enjoyed this book。 The story is quite basic but I liked the characters。 The author portrays the stress and tension really well。 What I also really liked was after the big climax, the was quite a long 'how it all panned out' part to the book。 After reading a book, I often find myself think what happened to everyone after the 'conclusion' to the story。 I really liked that part as I did for many parts of the book。 Defo worth a read。 I really enjoyed this book。 The story is quite basic but I liked the characters。 The author portrays the stress and tension really well。 What I also really liked was after the big climax, the was quite a long 'how it all panned out' part to the book。 After reading a book, I often find myself think what happened to everyone after the 'conclusion' to the story。 I really liked that part as I did for many parts of the book。 Defo worth a read。 。。。more

I barely made it to the end of this one。 So many of the main characters were unlikeable。 I guess Jane Fallon's popularity is the similar themes in her books。 I think this will be my last。 I barely made it to the end of this one。 So many of the main characters were unlikeable。 I guess Jane Fallon's popularity is the similar themes in her books。 I think this will be my last。 。。。more

Having read a number of Jane's novels before I found myself second-guessing nearly everything to try and anticipate the twists! The main one I had guessed but still a few surprises along the way。 I thought her style would wear thin but it really hasn't and I raced through this as such an easy read。 Having read a number of Jane's novels before I found myself second-guessing nearly everything to try and anticipate the twists! First book in a long time to make me feel irrationally angry。 I hated all the characters and the storyline would not have been out of place in and episode of Eastenders or Hollyoaks

3。5, not quite a 4! This was a nice, light hearted read - but a little predictable in places。

Clue was in the title。 I don’t know why I end up reading her books!! 2 women who, for best friends, can’t seem to hold a sensible grown up conversation with one another。 Full of silliness & borderline alcoholism。 I have read 2 other books of hers years ago that I didn’t like, why I expected this one to be better, I’ll never know!?!

3。5 stars for a long, meandering get-even contemporary read。I loved the idea of the story, but felt it took a long time to build。 Georgia and Lydia are as close as long-term friends can be。 But one is successful in all aspects of her life and feels guilt that BFF is missing out and thus a plot hatches! The intentions are fantastic but the unfolding taking so long foreshadows the family drama to come。 I started off with a little sympathy but by halfway I could not find an empathic bone for Lydia。 3。5 stars for a long, meandering get-even contemporary read。I loved the idea of the story, but felt it took a long time to build。 Georgia and Lydia are as close as long-term friends can be。 But one is successful in all aspects of her life and feels guilt that BFF is missing out and thus a plot hatches! The intentions are fantastic but the unfolding taking so long foreshadows the family drama to come。 I started off with a little sympathy but by halfway I could not find an empathic bone for Lydia。 A hundred pages less and some redeem-ability for Lydia would making this a cracking read。 And for lovers of the payback reads, this is for you! 。。。more

Pearls of wisdom from Georgia’s mother:No good ever came from listening at closed doors。 If you were meant to hear what was being said about you behind your back then the door wouldn’t be closed in the first place, would it?You can’t fight an enemy you can’t see。No good ever came from inserting yourself into the lives of others。Don’t fight anyone else’s battles。 Life’s hard enough and in the end no one’ll thank you anyway。If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it。
